Internship Opportunities

Interns service during the regular school semester for 4 hours on Sundays, generally from 10AM-2PM for a stipend of $50.00 per week, which is paid on the first Sunday of each month. The purpose of the internship program is to provide support and encouragement to college students who assist Holy Trinity AME Church with basic ministry functions as well as assisting Holy Trinity develop our ministry. College student interns will be expected to participate in the life of the church, including leading worship on Student Sundays. They will meet regularly with the pastor and/or other designated ministry leaders for personal and spiritual development.

Ministry Asst/Social Media

Work alongside the Pastor and among the congregation to promote the life of the church, post updates to the website and engage “followers” in social media ministry. The intern will assist the pastor with ministry duties such as setting up for worship, connecting with visitors, creating worship aides and creating flyers for external communications.

College Outreach

The outreach intern will help plan & coordinate activities and community service for college student and congregation together. On Sundays the intern will assist with welcoming guests, assembling guest welcome packets, and other related duties. This intern will also represent Holy Trinity at college fairs and community events as requested.

Church Cleaning

Weekly, on Saturday evening, or early before church begins, the intern will perform basic cleaning tasks such as windexing glass doors, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and other such minor tasks. After church the intern will tidy up the sanctuary as needed.
